Pre Cast Panel Construction

This warehouse is being built in Corio Bay, being only half completed it makes it easy to identify all the materials and connections that are being employed. (viewed 25th April)

An external shot of the construction site, from across the road. Also interesting to note the temporary safety hand rail system around the top of the roof not yet fully completed.

Central Posi-truss type ridge beam.

Roof to wall connection. Also note the small Tag type connections that are used to connect the structural steel beams to the to the non-structural concrete panels.

Ridge connection with half constructed roof visible. Easy to identify C purlins, safety mesh, insulation on top of the safety mesh and services. The Kliplok roofing is stacked on the left hand side ready for installation.

End wall, again showing clearly the concrete panel to steel beam connections. The Tags are welded to the steal beams and then used to bolt the panels through them. Safety hand rail around the top of the uncompleted roof, bolted to the C purlins.
